Advanced Calming Paste for Horses | Innovet Pet

This product has been developed specifically with horse owners in mind. It’s designed to be easily administered and a quick way to get the CBD into their system. If you are going to be traveling with your horse, needing to trailer them and they don’t like to be trailered or don’t travel well, this can be a huge help. It can also be given to them before training sessions or after them. Racehorses can benefit from using the paste after a race to enable a speedy recovery of muscles and to help calm them back down after all the adrenaline surge of a race.

Horses need a paste that can be introduced to their mouth and they will consume by swallowing it slowly. Liquid could cause aspiration and also cause the horse to act up. The paste is far easier to introduce to them, especially when it tastes good.

It’s a very handy product that can easily travel with you. If you are an equestrian sport enthusiast who takes your horses with you to events, trail rides, competitions, or simply need to transport them from point A to point B, this is a wonderful packaging that can travel with you, fitting in a bag or your back pocket.

What Is Advanced Calming Paste For Horses?

Advanced Calming Paste for Horses | Innovet Pet

Our paste is formulated with hemp, which includes CBD that has a long history of being a calming phytocannabinoid for both humans and animals alike. CBD works with the endocannabinoid system (ECS) of the body to help accommodate the functions of several systems within the body.

We’ve raised the bar for transparency in pet products that contain hemp by providing documentation of third-party testing. You’ll have access to the certificate of analysis. We also only use organic hemp.

This is far more important than some would have you believe. Hemp is a phytoremediator. That means that it absorbs everything from the soil it is grown in, even the bad things, and helps to clean the soil it is grown in.

It’s exceptionally important that in order to have good, clean, hemp, you have to start with soil that is free of contaminants. If you don’t they will end up in your hemp and all the products made with that same hemp. Our hemp comes from only USDA certified organic fields.

We feel that we have not only raised the bar, but we also have set it for the entire natural pet products market. In a market that is very under-regulated, it’s important for companies to have integrity and an uncompromising focus on quality. Many don’t. We do. That’s why we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on any of our products. If you use our products and don’t like them for any reason, let us know and we’ll refund your money. We know that you’re going to love them though because they truly work.

How Does It Work?

Advanced Calming Paste for Horses | Innovet PetCannabis plants include hemp, specifically industrialized hemp that has been grown for use in the extraction of CBD and creating products such as our paste. Marijuana is another form of plant that is in the cannabis family. It contains very high levels of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and that is a cannabinoid that is psychoactive in nature. It is responsible for the head high that is attributed to smoking marijuana or using marijuana edibles or tinctures. To understand how the Advanced Calming Paste works, it takes a basic understanding of what happens in the body when you use a cannabinoid product. That’s right, it’s a cannabinoid but don’t panic. It isn’t marijuana. There is more than one type of cannabis plant. Cannabis plants is an inclusive term that is used to describe more than one type of plant that belongs to the cannabis family.

In hemp, the levels of THC are extremely low, less than .03%, and this isn’t enough to cause a high effect. This is why CBD products and hemp products are legal in all fifty states. Many products have been created since this legalization of hemp, which began in 2014 and was opened up more so in 2018 with a new Farm Bill with more explicit wording.

While the Farm Bill opened the doors to natural products for both humans and animals, there isn’t as much legislative regulation on the hemp market as there probably should be. We recognize this and that is why we only use organic hemp.

The real mystery for most is how the CBD (cannabidiol) from hemp helps the body. Let’s put your curiosity to rest and explain exactly how it impacts the body and creates positive changes, as it applies to horses and to people too!

The Most Important Yet Little Known Body System

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) of the body is possibly the most important system, yet it is the one that was most recently discovered and people know the least about. To be clear, I have one, you have one, all mammals have one, birds have one, fish have one, and so do reptiles. Scientists believe that all living creatures have an ECS.

The ECS was just discovered in the 1990s and that makes if the newest body system discovered. Scientists continue learning more and more about this system but here is what we do know as of right now; this system is like the supervisor of the plant, with the plant being your body. Many other body systems appear to be controlled by the ECS, or at the very least, influenced by it.

What can the ECS impact?

  • Pain
  • Moods
  • Metabolism
  • Inflammation
  • Mental acuity/focus/calmness
  • Heart health
  • Cellular health

How does the ECS work?

The ECS is made of three parts.

These include:

  1. Cannabinoid receptors found on the cellular surfaces

  2. Endocannabinoids that activate the receptors

  3. Enzymes that work to breakdown the endocannabinoids after they are used

This concludes the pieces of the ECS, which seems overly simplified but this is honestly all there is to the system. The reason it was not easy to discover is that it is made of these microscopic receptors on the surface of cells. Scientists have traditionally focused on the inside of cells.

Advanced Calming Paste for Horses | Innovet PetCannabinoids that come from plants are referred to as phytocannabinoids because ‘phyto’ means from a plant. They are able to assume the same or similar roles with the receptors of the ECS when they are introduced into the body.Endocannabinoids is a word that may have caught your eye. These are cannabinoids that are produced within the body itself. Indeed, it may come as a shock that your body, your dog’s body, your horse’s body, and even the fish in your aquarium all have endocannabinoids being produced within their body. Endo essentially means ‘within’ and this is where they come from.

Once in the body, the cannabinoids in hemp are able to find receptors and bind to them, unlocking them like keys. The CBD is a cannabinoid that is plentiful in hemp and it is often referred to as the Boy Scout Molecule. The reason for the nickname is that, just like a good Boy Scout, it always does what is right. Scientists do not know how cannabinoids find their way to exactly where they are needed yet. They do, however, always find their way to the places they are needed the most.

The result is that many things are positively impacted within the body and one of them is the calming effect that they have. For horses who take the Advanced Calming Paste, it has the ability to working with the body, via the ECS, to calm and soothe even the most nervous horses.

Advanced Calming Paste for Horses - 500mg & 1000mgOur paste is formulated in 500mg and 1000mg doses. We know that stress in horses can impact them in many various fashions. They can become agitated, have colic, grind their teeth, have tense muscles, defecate frequently, excessively sweat, and even have ulcers.

Advanced Calming Paste can help to relieve a horse of the anxiety that could potentially lead to these issues.  Because we use a full-spectrum formulation of CBD in our paste, there are other cannabinoids in the paste. There are, after all, 112 different cannabinoids found within hemp, aside from CBD and THC (in less than .03% concentration). Science has discovered that the cannabinoids are able to work together to have an even more positive impact on the body. This is referred to as the entourage effect.

It is capable of helping with:

  • Keeping your horse calm in stressful situations which may be new to them. It will not affect their mental acuity, however. You will not have to worry they will stumble into or out of a trailer or fall while being trailered. They will remain sure-footed.
  • It’s a great way to keep them calm when traveling to competitions, being moved to different locations, etc.
  • It provides supplementation for their joints, helping to provide them with joint support in legs and hips.
  • Reducing pain from training, excessive activity or simply aging.
  • It provides immediate relief and doesn’t have to take multiple doses to begin helping.
  • It comes in two dosing sizes and in full-spectrum formulations to help with multiple things.
